So a partnership between Duke Energy and the Indianapolis Zoo on our conservation initiative www.mycarbonpledge.com is a perfect fit. Duke Energy will be encouraging its employees as well as its customers to go “Up 2, Down 2!” The Zoo is very excited to be partnering with Duke Energy to help protect Arctic wildlife.

The Zoo is happy to have Lowe’s back on board as a partner on www.mycarbonpledge.com. They’re definitely doing their part to help combat climate change. In addition to earning the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy 2009 Energy Star Retail Partner of the Year Award, Lowe’s assisted the Zoo in the Acres for the Atmosphere program by donating 100 trees and helping plant them at Robey Elementary School in Wayne Township the week prior to Earth Day 2010. And 24 Lowe's stores across the state of Indiana are participating in mycarbonpledge.com as part of the Lowe's Heroes program. Lowe’s knows that by working together, we can make a difference.
